A Message from DeLyn:
Hello, my name is DeLyn. I am a Personal Performance Coach based in Southwest Virginia, heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Throughout most of my life coaching has been something I've always done in one form or another. I have worked with people from all walks of life, which has given me an incredible pool of experience to draw from.
Over the years my training and background have led me to realize that effective
coaching must take into account the whole person, not just focusing on a few
isolated behaviors that produce self destructive or unwanted results. My
approach provides a holistic and effective way to help clients understand
themselves better, to sort out what’s holding them back, identify ways to move
forward with clarity and confidence, and remove any real or perceived barriers
to their success.

Coaching is highly effective for individuals facing difficult and/or emotionally
charged situations such as those involved in legal litigation. My personal
experience is documented at http://www.goodwriters.net/veterans1.html and
although I did not have a Coach to work with me in preparing for what was to
come, I firmly believe it would have made a significant difference.
DeLyn’s Bio
My bio page is going to be somewhat brief because coaching is not about me, it’s
about you. Who you are, what you want / need, and how you can attain it.
Coaching is about YOU, not me. However I realize you may want to know a little
about your Coach so here is a very general snap shot.
I received my Doctorate in Naturopathy in 1996 and I am a Certified Traditional
Naturopath. I maintain my board certification with the ANMCAB. In 2004, I began
a formalized program for Personal Coaching certification with the International
Coach Academy and maintain my membership with the International Coach
Federation. My coaching practice is built upon the Code of Ethics established by
the ICF.
I have worked in the field of human resources since 1997 honing my coaching
skills in both retail and manufacturing environments. A few highlights during my
career have included serving as a Board Member for a small private college and
TAP’s Center for Employment Training. I also volunteer as a Critical Incident
Stress Management Team Debriefer. Enough about me now….. If you are ready to
push past the blocks that prevent you from reaching your goals and are up for
the challenge then let’s get started!
"Each indecision brings its own delays and days are lost lamenting over lost days...
What you can do or think you can do, begin it. For boldness has magic, power and genius in it."
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, 1749-1832
